From March 24 to April 2, 2023, thousands of people in more than 40 cities across Europe will take to the streets for the right to live and the city to denounce sky-high housing costs. In 2021, the Dutch government signed the Lisbon Declaration, in which 27 European member states agreed to end homelessness by 2030. Yet homelessness continues to increase, and more and more people are living temporarily, insecurely and too expensively. The government of the Netherlands and other European member states are doing too little to solve this growing humanitarian crisis.
