On 11 November, the Rotterdam city council passed a motion requesting the Municipal Executive to 'evaluate in dialogue' the police action during the Residential Revolt demonstration on 17 October with the organization of the demonstration. 

Today Woonopstand presents a black book with statements and images of victims and witnesses of the absurd, reprehensible and violent police action during the demonstration in Rotterdam on 17 October. We condemn the excessive police action and demand that Mayor Aboutaleb initiate an independent external investigation.

The demonstration in the Afrikaanderpark happened in a good atmosphere. After a joyful program with speakers and music, we left the park for the Erasmusbrug bridge [in a march towards Markthal]. There the march came to a halt as a group of protesters was separated [and surrounded] from the rest of the demonstration by the riot police.
